Not
long after my friends and I arrived at Sammy's part of Enuff Z Nuff took
the stage. (I guess one of their band members was stuck in traffic). Eventually
he showed up but they played, maybe 20 minutes. Next up was LAG. C&F
and I found a spot on Tracii's side (my fave side) and waited. The sun
was beating down on us. Outdoor shows have their disadvantages! LAG took
the stage and Phil came out wearing a kilt! Tracii, as always, was a joy
to watch. Keff, their new guitar player, held his own and Adam had dyed
his hair black since the last time I saw them! They played one new song
and all the faves. I think their set was only 40 mins long. We headed
back to the merch area and I bought a special issue Metal Edge magazine.
It tells the history through present of all the bands on the bill along
with current interviews, etc.
Warrant took
the stage and everyone in LAG, except Tracii, came out to meet people.
I said hi to everyone and had them sign their latest band photo. I have
every one since Oct 1998. Well, at least I think I do. haha I more or
less just listened to Warrant's set because I was waiting for a friend
and hubby to show up. I ran into quite a few people I always see at shows
too. After Warrant's set, C&F and I stood on John Corabi's side of
the stage and waited for RATT. My friend Kim finally showed up and then
a little later on hubby found us.
RATT, as always,
played a great set. I love to watch John Corabi. Between the crazy faces
he makes at people in the crowd and his playing/singing abilities it's
always a good time. Robbie Crane was also his normal head banging self.
Unfortunately I don't have any good shots of him from this show. After
their set we waited around to talk with the guys. While waiting we ran
into Tracii. (Tracii is my fave. heehee) We were hanging with RATT for
a while then headed side stage to watch Dokken with Robbie. Later on I
met up with Warren and John and Jizzy. I also ran into Tom. A little history
here…I have been running into Tom at shows since 2001. I asked him
to take a picture with me and he said he couldn't. When I asked why he
said he was in the witness protection program. I said no you aren't and
he said yes, I killed someone. So, if anyone has been looking for him,
he's around! haha Just Kidding. We ended up hanging out with RATT for
the rest of the night. Robbie Crane is such a trip! He had us all laughing
all night.
