For a few years now, there has been a BMX demo at the WI State Fair. Luckily I was able to catch one of the shows this past weekend. I am a fan of all sorts of BMX riding, etc. I have HUGE respect for these guys and everyone else that can pull off these stunts without killing themselves. Yes, I know accidents happen, but for the most part, the tricks went off without a hitch. There were 5 guys performing today. One BMX "flatlander", one BMX rider that was doing tricks on the smaller ramp, and then a skateboarder, a roller blader and another BMX rider on the halfpipe. The announcer commented that between all of them, they had quite a few X Games medals. I believe the "flatlander" was a 7 time X Games champ! Below are various pics I took of these guys. The day was overcast so the lighting wasn't the greatest for picture taking. You can still see the incredible height and various tricks these guys were entertaining us with. I got a little creative with the coloring on a couple. :) |

![]() This was his first run and as you can probably tell in this picture, this was a trick that went wrong. He crashed to the ground and his bike landed on top of him. He rode away with some scrapes on his arm. |
